Pathway to Success
We see three parts of establishing the Alabama Hall of Valor:
- Building a museum
- Creating a mobile museum
- Enabling education programs and efforts
Building a museum will take some time. I’ve been working with planners and designers on what it will take. Realistically, factoring fund raising time, this could take as much as two years. The mobile museum will have a much shorter creation time. The education efforts could take mere months.
As Important as this is, we decided to seek members to support it!
Membership Recruiting
We are developing a membership program that will recognize members and create valuable funds for the accomplishment of our three goals. Members will be the first to know of updates and activities of the Museum. A digital Honor Roll will identify all who help and support the Museum. We are a registered non-profit corporation in the State of Alabama and have submitted our 501(c)3 paperwork with the IRS. The membership categories will range from annual memberships all the way to VIP level.
Special Opportunity!
Everyone who joins in the first 90 days will receive “Founder” status with their membership! Let everyone know that you were in on the ground floor of this amazing endeavor. As long as you keep continuous membership, you will remain a Founder for all to recognize and respect.
This isn’t for everyone.
As much as it hurts me to say this, we can’t open the membership up to everyone. As you can imagine, dealing with a government bureaucracy hasn’t been easy or cheap. The IRS was bad enough, but many states have laws regarding out of state non-profit groups. We will eventually overcome this, but it takes time. We currently can get members in 26 of the 50 states.
